Quick and easy crispy golden tofu made with only 3 ingredients!
Put this on your salad, a bowl of rice, a bed of leafy greens or sautéed veggies. Whether this is your first time cooking with tofu or you're just looking for something quick to add flavor and protein to a meal, this recipe sticks to the basics and only takes 10 minutes!
To get that crisp bite on the outside of your tofu cubes JUST right, you’ll want either firm, extra-firm, or super-firm tofu. If you only have something less firm in your fridge, no worries! Just take some extra time before cooking to either let the water drain from the block of tofu in a bowl, or gently press the water out manually.
For this recipe I used organic Super-Firm Tofu. This is what I happened to have in my fridge today, which works the best for crispy tofu, but extra-firm works just as well in my opinion. This keeps your tofu intact, it’s easier to cut and crisps up the fastest!

Prep Time: 2 Minutes
Cook Time: 8 Minutes
Total: 10 Minutes
1/2 block of super-firm tofu
2 teaspoons of olive oil
2 teaspoons of soy sauce
1. Add 2 teaspoons of olive oil to a large wok or frying pan and preheat on the stove to a medium-high heat.
2. Slice 1/2 a block of tofu into even cubes, about 1/2 inch wide.
3. Add tofu squares to pre-heated pan. Let cook for about 4 minutes, stirring occasionally so that all sides of the tofu blocks are getting evenly crisp.
4. Add 2 teaspoons of soy sauce to the pan of tofu. Stir occasionally for another 4 minutes, or until soy sauce is evenly distributed aiming the tofu blocks and they are a golden-brown color with a crispy lining.
5. Serve and enjoy!!
I like to add a pinch of garlic powder, salt and pepper to my tofu towards the end of this recipe for extra flavor, but that is optional as the soy sauce gives it a nice savory taste already.
